Acceptance of the Terms
By placing an order on our website lainemayfair.com, the customer declares that they have read, understood and fully accepted these Terms and Conditions. Acceptance takes place at the moment the customer completes the purchasing process by clicking the order confirmation button.
Article 1 – Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, the following definitions apply: Cancellation period: the period within which the consumer can exercise the right of withdrawal. Consumer: a natural person acting for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession who enters into a distance contract with the trader. Continuing contract: a distance contract relating to a series of products or services, the delivery and/or purchase obligations of which extend over a period of time. Right of withdrawal: the consumer's right to cancel the distance contract within the cancellation period. Trader: the natural or legal person who offers products and/or services to consumers at a distance. Distance contract: a contract concluded between the trader and the consumer by means of one or more means of distance communication. CESOP: the Central Electronic System of Payment information established by the European Union to monitor payment service providers.

Article 3 – Applicability
These Terms and Conditions apply to every offer made by the trader and to every distance contract concluded between the trader and the consumer. Before the contract is concluded, these terms are made available to the consumer on a durable medium or in another suitable way.
Article 4 – The Offer
All offers are without obligation. The trader reserves the right to change or withdraw offers at any time. Each offer clearly states the total costs, including shipping costs, customs duties and any additional costs.
Article 5 – Conclusion of the Contract
The contract is concluded at the moment the consumer accepts the offer and meets the conditions set. The trader will immediately confirm acceptance electronically.
Article 6 – Right of Withdrawal
The consumer has 30 days from the date of receipt of the product to exercise the right of withdrawal without giving any reason. If the right of withdrawal is exercised, the return shipping costs are the responsibility of the consumer.
Article 7 – Refund in Case of Withdrawal
The trader will refund payments within 14 days of receiving the notice of withdrawal, provided that the returned product is in perfect condition and is sent back in its original packaging.
Article 8 – Customs, Import Duties and VAT
All goods offered and sold through this website are shipped under the Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) delivery term. The customer is fully responsible for all costs and obligations relating to the import of the goods into the country of destination, including customs duties, VAT and other applicable taxes. The trader does not act as the importer of the goods. The customer indemnifies the trader against all financial consequences arising from failure to comply with import regulations.
Article 9 – CESOP Compliance
As of 2024, payment service providers are required to record transaction data in the CESOP system in accordance with European Union legislation. The trader complies with these obligations.
Article 10 – Conformity and Warranty
The trader guarantees that the products comply with the contract and with the applicable legal requirements. Complaints regarding defects must be reported in writing within 14 days of discovery. Products must be returned in their original condition and packaging.
Article 11 – Delivery
Orders are delivered within 30 days, unless otherwise agreed. In the event of a delay, the trader will inform the consumer within 14 days of the order date.
Article 12 – Complaints Handling
Complaints must be submitted in writing within 7 days of being identified. The trader will respond within 14 days.
Article 13 – Disputes
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will preferably be resolved by mutual agreement. If necessary, disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
